Putin Sends Congratulatory Letter to Tebboune on Algeria’s Revolution Anniversary

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory letter to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the 71st anniversary of the National Liberation Revolution, highlighting the strong and evolving strategic partnership between the two nations.
According to the Presidency of the Republic, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a personal letter from his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, reaffirming the solid and dynamic ties between Algeria and Russia.
Putin praised the “deep strategic partnership” uniting both countries and expressed confidence in the continuation of constructive cooperation on regional and international matters. He emphasized that such collaboration serves the interests of both nations and contributes to peace and stability in Africa and the Middle East.
In his message, the Russian leader extended his best wishes for health and success to President Tebboune and prosperity to the Algerian people.
International tributes to Algeria for November 1st
The 71st anniversary of the Algerian Revolution also drew tributes from leaders across the Arab world, Africa, and Europe.
From Cairo, the President of the Arab Parliament, Mohamed Ben Ahmed Al Yamahi, praised the Algerian people and their leadership, calling November 1st an “eternal memory” for the Arab nation and wishing Algeria continued progress under President Tebboune.
Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian honored the courage and anti-colonial legacy of the Algerian people, while advocating stronger bilateral ties between Algiers and Tehran.
In Europe, Belgium’s King Louis-Philippe Léopold Marie commended the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Austria’s President Alexander Van der Bellen highlighted “excellent Algerian-Austrian relations,” notably in renewable energy, and applauded Algeria’s constructive role within the UN Security Council.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi also renewed his country’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Algeria and sent his best wishes to President Tebboune and the Algerian nation.
These international messages underscore Algeria’s growing diplomatic stature and the global recognition of its historic struggle for independence and ongoing role in regional stability.
