Air Algérie has unveiled new international promotional fares to Asia, while confirming the return of its popular OTLA offer for summer 2026, reinforcing its commercial strategy and global reach.
Expanding International Appeal
Air Algérie continues to strengthen its commercial momentum on the international market. After rolling out seasonal promotions, including discounted fares during Ramadan and the return of the OTLA offer for summer 2026, the national airline is now turning its focus toward long-haul transit traffic.
By broadening its target beyond peak local travel periods, Air Algérie aims to enhance its competitiveness and diversify its customer base, particularly among business travelers and students.
Targeting Africa–Asia Transit Routes
The airline has introduced new competitive fares on routes connecting Africa to China, positioning Algiers Airport as a strategic hub between the two continents. These offers are marketed under “ATI” (All Taxes Included) fares and are designed to support growing commercial and cultural exchanges.
The promotions apply to several major African departure points with attractive pricing:
West Africa: Flights from Abidjan to Guangzhou start at 446,000 XOF, while departures from Douala begin at 495,320 XAF.
North Africa: Travelers from Tunis can book tickets to Guangzhou starting at 2,098 TND.
Southern Africa and Nigeria: Fares begin at 699 USD from Johannesburg and 899 USD from Abuja.
These competitive prices aim to attract transit passengers while reinforcing Air Algérie’s presence on the Africa–Asia corridor.
OTLA Offer Returns for Summer 2026
In parallel, Air Algérie has officially renewed its OTLA promotional offer for summer 2026, following strong demand during previous editions. Reservations are open from January 21 to May 31, 2026, for travel between June 1 and August 31, 2026.
Launched in response to a presidential directive, the initiative is intended to facilitate travel for the Algerian diaspora and help families plan summer holidays at reduced costs.
The program offers discounts of up to 60% on selected routes, primarily to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, with a strong emphasis on destinations in France and Spain. To accommodate increased demand, Air Algérie has expanded capacity from key cities such as Paris, Marseille, Barcelona, and Alicante.
Strengthening Algiers as a Regional Hub
With these combined initiatives, Air Algérie is pursuing a dual strategy: supporting diaspora travel while expanding its role in international transit markets. The airline’s latest promotions reflect a broader ambition to position Algiers as a central aviation hub linking Africa, Europe, and Asia.
