Algerian Employers Confederation Hosts Russian Delegation to Boost Economic Ties

The Algerian Confederation of Employers (CAP) received a Russian economic delegation on Monday in Algiers, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation and prepare for the upcoming “Made in Russia” trade fair in Moscow.

The meeting was chaired by CAP National Vice President Ali Mohamed Lamine Bakalem, acting on the instructions of CAP President Tahar Bouzid.

The Russian delegation was led by Ivan Nalitch, head of the Russian economic mission in Algeria, who was accompanied by his advisor, Alexandre Poussovsky. Discussions focused on opportunities for partnership between Algerian businesses and Russian companies, particularly in the context of the “Made in Russia” trade fair scheduled from October 20 to 25, 2025, in Moscow.

At the conclusion of the talks, Ivan Nalitch, whose mandate as head of the Russian mission in Algeria is ending, thanked the CAP for its support, noting “the quality of the partnership and the richness of the exchanges established” during his mission.

This visit underscores Algeria’s growing efforts to diversify its international partnerships and foster stronger economic ties with global markets.
