Minister of Industry Issues Directives to MADAR and AGRODIV Managers: Significant Reductions on Consumer Product Prices During Ramadan

The Minister of Industry, Sifi Ghrieb, has instructed the managers of AGRODIV and MADAR complexes to reduce product prices by up to 15% in 167 local markets starting Saturday, February 15, in preparation for Ramadan.

In a move to ease the financial burden on citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, Sifi Ghrieb has directed AGRODIV and MADAR to apply price reductions on essential food and agricultural products, including semolina, flour, pasta, couscous, table oil, juices, and canned goods. These reductions will apply in 167 local markets across the country, as part of a broader strategy to ensure market stability and fight price speculation. The Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to the supply deadlines and quality standards outlined in the program to maintain affordable pricing.

The program is part of the government's broader efforts to ensure an abundant supply of consumer products during Ramadan, in line with directives issued by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to combat speculation.

The price reductions set to begin on February 15 are a key component of the preparations for Ramadan 2025. By reinforcing AGRODIV's presence in local markets and increasing social solidarity activities, the government aims to ensure fair access to essential goods at reasonable prices for all citizens.
